The London-based Centre for the Study of Terrorism (CFSOT) was officially inaugurated on

Sunday 29 October 2006 at the prestigious London Muslim Centre.

Addressing the theme of Crisis in the Muslim World with Reference to Afghan Jihad,

Professor Khurshid Ahmad, Chairman of the UK-based Islamic Foundation and the Institute

of Policy Studies (in Islamabad, Pakistan) and the deputy leader of Jama’at-e-Islami

Pakistan, provided a critical commentary on America’s War on Terrorism over the past five

years. “Instead of weakening terrorism, the Americans have intensified it around the world.”

The Campaign Against the Criminalisation of Communities (CAMPACC) withthe Centre for the Study of Terrorism (CFSOT), will hold a public meeting on Friday 14 March 2008 at the London Muslim Centre, to draw attention to the Counter Terrorism Bill currently before Parliament. The meeting is cosponsored by the London Muslim Centre, Islamic Forum of Europe, Cage Prisoners and the Newham Monitoring Project.
